Wellpoint dewatering pump of the future
28 June 2023
The world is rapidly changing and the needs of our customers are constantly being reshaped. We can observe these changes also in the dewatering business. How we handle issues of environmental sustainability and energy use while still managing to keep costs in check are part of our everyday focus. Driven by the demands for a world class solution for sustainable and efficient dewatering BBA Pumps has now launched its new PT100 DriveOn® wellpoint dewatering pump.
New PT100 DriveOn® pump
The PT100 DriveOn® is a diesel-driven piston pump designed for wellpoint dewatering. This pump is the successor to the discontinued PT130 diesel and provides the ability to substantially drive down operational costs. This new, highly cost efficient piston pump extracts groundwater up to 30 m³/h. In addition, the PT100 DriveOn® makes a positive contribution to a cleaner environment. Notable features include:- Pump performance 30 m³/h - 18 mwc
- Maximum 0,7 l/hr fuel consumption
- Maintenance intervals 1500 operating hours
- 4-year BBA Pumps warranty
- And extremely low emissions
PT100 DriveOn® financial savings compared to PT130
In order to calculate the Life Cost Cycle of a PT wellpoint dewatering pump we always use 30.000 operating hours. Even so, every user understands that the pump is still far from the end of its working life at this point. We express the financial savings in euros and this is further based on an average of (actual) prices prevailing in Western Europe.Maintenance reduced by 66%
Through the use of DriveOn® technology, we have extended the maintenance interval from 500 operating hours to 1500 operating hours. This results in 66% less maintenance work required for the new PT100 pumpset. In addition to labour cost savings, the new dewatering pump consumes less engine oil and fewer filters!
Fuel consumption reduced by 6000 liters
The PT100's DriveOn® diesel engine consumes 0,2 liters less fuel per hour (at max load). Based on the stated number of operating hours, the fuel consumption of the new dewatering pump is reduced by 6000 liters. Depending on the current and local diesel price, this results in enormous financial savings!
* You will find the formula to calculate fuel consumption in the support section of our website.
CO2 emissions reduced by 15 tonnes
During the combustion process one liter of diesel produces about 2,6 kg of CO2. So if we cut diesel fuel consumption by 6000 liters this reduces the amount of CO2discharged back into our environment by 15 tonnes!
Financial advantages
Based on the current (Q2-2023) Dutch prices for fuel, filters, engine oil and labour, the financial saving is at least € 12.000,-. What kind of financial benefits could the new PT100 DriveOn® dewatering pump deliver for your business?
Let us help you to calculate this. We are sure you will become as convinced in this new wellpoint dewatering pump as we are.
