New automatic changeover switch for hybrid PT pump

BBA Pumps recently launched an automatic changeover switch option for the PT hybrid wellpoint dewatering pump. The hybrid pump is equipped with both a diesel engine and an electric motor. The user can consider which drive is the best choice for each dewatering project. From an environmental and noise point of view, the electric drive wins. But sometimes there is no reliable power supply available…

Why an automatic changeover switch? 

You want to use the PT hybrid as an electric pump but are not sure of a reliable power network. Then the automatic changeover system is a good solution. Developed by BBA Pumps, the system ensures that the diesel engine starts up as soon as the power fails. And, when the power supply is back, the pump automatically switches back to the electric motor.

The automatic changeover switch consists of:

• A lockable control panel
• A variable frequency drive
• LC20 pump dashboard
• And a battery charger
